## How to Set a Webhook in n8n and HubSpot

## 1. Set Up a Webhook in n8n

### Step 1: Create a New Workflow
- Go to your **n8n dashboard**.
- Click on **"New Workflow."**

### Step 2: Add the Webhook Node
- Click on the **“+”** icon to add a new node.
- Search for **“Webhook”** and select it.
- Set the **Webhook Method** (usually POST).
- Define the **Webhook URL path**, for example, `/hubspot-webhook`.
- Set the **"Response Mode"** (e.g., "On Received").
- Save the workflow.

### Step 3: Set Webhook URL
- Copy the **Webhook URL** generated by n8n. It should look something like:{{ $env.WEBHOOK_URL }}

- Ensure the workflow is **active**.

## 2. Set Up a Webhook in HubSpot

### Step 1: Log in to HubSpot
- Go to **HubSpot Developer Account** (required for webhook setup).
- Navigate to **"Settings" > "Integrations" > "Webhooks."**

### Step 2: Create a New Webhook Subscription
- Click **“Create Webhook”** or **“Add Webhook”** if this is your first one.
- Select the **events** you want to track (e.g., contact creation, form submission).
- Set the **Webhook URL** as the n8n Webhook URL you copied earlier.
- Choose **“POST”** as the request method.
- Set the **Authentication** if needed (you can set a secret or use OAuth).

### Step 3: Test the Webhook
- Use the **“Test Webhook”** feature in HubSpot to send a test request.
- Switch to n8n and ensure the webhook is triggering properly.

## 3. Process the Data in n8n
- After the webhook is triggered in n8n, you will see the data sent by HubSpot.
- You can now add additional nodes to **process the data** (e.g., save to database, send email, perform actions in another app).

## 4. Make the Workflow Active
- Once you are done configuring, make sure the workflow is **set to “Active.”**
- This will allow it to receive live data from HubSpot.
